Who is the R-Man?

Hey guys,
I realise it has been quite a while since anything has been put up on the site, so here something random that I got from the latest episode (Season 4 Episode 11: Cabin Fever).
Now surely I'm not alone when I say Richard is a very interesting character and the latest episode which had a lot of Richard action in it really pumped me up, as he seems like a key character to the story.
Rather than explain some complex theory which is miles off course I'm just going to explain what/who he reminded me of.

This would be the character G-Man from the Half-Life series.
In this picture to the right, the left version of G-Man is from the original Half-Life and the other version is the newer Half-Life 2 version of G-Man, not much difference in appearance other than noticable graphical advancements.

What struck me in the flashback we first see Richard in was first, "OMG HE IS WAY IN THE PAST YO"
Then he struck my gamer memories, in which resides, Half-Life 1, HL2, Hl2: Episode 1 and HL2: Episode 2.
The nature and attire of Richard when he visit's little baby John resembles that of the G-Man. Throughout the Half-Life series the protagonist, Gordon Freeman, is followed, well, more like watched, by G-man, he always seems to be one step ahead, in that building you are heading to or simply looking at you through a window you cant get to. You can check out his appearances below, check out part 2 for the newer HL2 appearances.

As you may notice, G-man seems to have the total opposite personality when compared to Richard and isn't exactly testing Gordon out to see if he can go to some magical school(he might be, half-life isnt over yet, lol). He is however having a seemingly big impact in some way to Gordon's destiny and even gives Gordon a choice on how he wants the world to end up at the end of Half Life 1. In a way this reminds me of how Richard gave John the option to take out his father. The result was John was no longer a reject to the others and became more and more their hero.

The way Richard looked at baby John through the window was very much like g-man throughout half-life, with his blank stare and then calm walk off out of view.

As you probably saw in the video g-man does this alot.

Anyway I'll wrap it up around here, just one more thing for fun.
The developers of Half-Life have long been fans of LOST and noticed some references to Half-Life in the first season, I'm not sure what those were apart from maybe portals (plane might have portaled into a weird island), animals not being where they are meant to be and men in suits (Christian) walking off in the distance.
In the latest part of the Half-life series (HL2: episode 2) the developers told the creators of LOST they would add a LOST themed easter egg somewhere into the game, I played through HL2 Ep 2 without knowing they added this and when I found it, I was like OMG!. Then later found there was some developers commentary in that area which explained why it was there. Anyways, very cool.

The Dharma logo has trees in it because the base you find this at is named "White Forest".
A video can be found below, sorry about the childish camera work.

Well thats enough from me, hopefully I didn't bore you. Gigamonster out!

Welcome Lost Fans and Find815 Args!

After Find815 I feel like I have a wealth of new knowledge. I never thought I would learn how to stego a picture or that I would have to become an expert anagrammer! I also never thought I would be studying electromagnetism equations and looking at star charts! I've had a lot of fun, but now what do I do? I could start writing notes to my kids in code and tell them the labours of hercules as bedtime stories....and I probably will....but I would rather talk LOST with all of you! So feel free to post your comments or theories, join us in the chat room, and stay LOST!

Public service posters....which one is the REAL Ben???

THANKS!

Thanks Gig for getting yaplet up! I've added a few pictures and messed around....I'm still learning :) This is kinda fun!

Welcome Args!

I'm new to this and don't have a clue what I'm doing, but what the hell....
